**Job Overview**

Are you a passionate, qualified dance instructor with a flair for flips and fierce pom choreography? We're looking for an enthusiastic **Acro & Pom Dance Instructor** to join our team as an **Independent Contractor** for the upcoming season

The Role
- Teach weekly **Acro** and **Pom Dance** classes (recreational and/or competitive) for ages 5+.
- Deliver classes that focus on **safe skill progression**, **cheer-style performance energy**, and **fun, structured training**.
- Encourage proper warm-ups, flexibility, conditioning, and performance confidence.
- Develop age-appropriate choreography for showcases or competitions (if applicable).
- Provide positive, constructive feedback and uphold studio values in every class.

You Bring:

- Certification or experience in **Acrobatic Arts**, gymnastics, cheer, or acro-based dance instruction.
- Experience or training in **Pom Dance** (cheer, jazz technique, and stylized precision choreography).
- A strong understanding of **technique, safe spotting, and developmental stages** for young dancers.
- Your own liability insurance (or willingness to obtain), and WorkSafeBC registration if applicable.
- A positive, inclusive teaching style and the ability to engage students of all skill levels.

Bonus If You Have:

- Choreography experience for performances or competitions
- Previous teaching experience in a studio environment
- First Aid certification or coaching credentials
- Note: This is a contractor role. Instructors will be responsible for their own tax filings, insurance, and invoicing._

Pay: $22.00-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 8 per week
