**About This Opportunity**:
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Specialist, Commodity Risk Management & Procurement reporting into the Senior Finance Manager, Commodity Risk Management & Procurement.
The Finance Specialist will be responsible for assisting the Senior Manager in leading the Commodity Risk Management council within Coke Canada, comprising of the CFO, COO, VP of Supply Chain, Director of Procurement, Director of Treasury and Senior Finance Director of Operational Finance.
In addition, this individual is responsible for month end close, monthly forecasting, annual budgeting and daily identification of risks, opportunities all the while ensuring governance and strategic decisioning.
As a business partner to the procurement organization, this role is supporting the build of procurement strategies, influencing day to day decisions and problem solving, monthly P&L insights and analytics (inclusive of Purchase Price Variance) and productivity initiatives (PI).
**Qualifications**:
- Partnering with the Direct Procurement Team to analyze monthly review of financial performance.
- Assisting the Senior Manager in leading, managing and coordinating the monthly Commodity Risk Management forum by presenting strategic opportunities and executing decisions made inclusive of hedge commodity & FX contracts
- Identifying Risks and Opportunities that may result in variances to plan
- Monthly tracking of hedge and commodity performance and working with the Senior Manager to communicate forward/unhedged exposures on a timely basis
- Timely forecasting/projection of volume requirements for commodities including USD
- Coordination with Treasury to ensure appropriate documentation of hedge information is available for audit purposes
- Work closely with CCBSS understanding forecasts and interpreting impacts for CCCBL
- Watch and review commodity market performance and research market information to assist in forecast and risk/opportunity analysis and recommendations
- Review/analysis of PI savings working with various project managers
- Support in the development of the annual budget for raw materials that encompasses hedge contracts and procurement guidance on pricing
- Prepare detailed volume/price/mix analysis on cost of sales as part of the budgeting process
- Ad hoc financial analysis on various events that may arise in procurement & commodity risk management
- Playing a critical role in developing new tools to drive process improvements
- Supporting the month-end close process by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparing JEs related to PPV, hedge contracts and procurement OPEX
- Deep dive analysis of PPV, identifying issues, opportunities, and projected impact on future business results
- Collaborate with Supply Chain finance and other functions/teams on forecast (Rolling Estimate) creation for direct materials
- Participate in interactions/communications with shared services and various functions to ensure accurate and timely recording of financials with detailed explanations.
- Participate in periodic routines with CCBSS Finance to review rebates and identify any market risks that may impact Raw Material Categories that are not reviewed as part of the Commodity Risk Management council
- Ad-hoc assignments, duties, reporting, analysis, and other projects as assigned
**Responsibilities**:
- Minimum one to three years of experience in accounting or finance
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- MBA, CPA preferred
