Description :Major Job Functions:Ensure jobs are planned, organized and all required parts and tooling are accessibleMinimize downtime and maintain production requirements as scheduledExamine and diagnose machine defects, repair damage and cracks when necessaryOperate manual or semi-automatic welding equipmentMaintain safe work practicesAssist in training, directing and development of team members on the jobOther work assigned as requiredQualifications & Experience:Journeyperson Welder Technician CertificationCertified in Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)CWB tickets will be considered an assetIndividual will be highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environmentAbility to work well under pressureEffectively communicate both verbally and in writing will be necessary for successful candidacyLine boring experience will be considered an assetPrevious field experience will be considered an assetNotes:This position is located at our Fort McKay branch on a 14x14 continuous shift (camp provided)Any future shift changes will be made in accordance with the collective agreement.Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective AgreementAt Finning, we prioritize creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
