JobPurpose:The Receiving Associate will work under the direction of theReceiving Manager and will be responsible for the daily putting and receiving duties as outlined in this role are responsible for the accuracy, efficiency and security of product as it enters the distribution center, as well as for reporting any discrepancies, damages, or otherwise problematic occurrences with product in a timely, effective manner.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Receive products into the inventory management system Accountable for the accuracy of the inventory count as it is entered into the systemPerform to the ongoing standards of ’s key metric indicators and performance metricsReport any and all count discrepancies, including damages, mis-ships, or unsafe/unsanitary conditions to the Receiving Coordinator and Receiving Supervisor immediately Ensure that all expiration dates fall within the rules and restrictions guidelines, report any short dated product to the Receiving Coordinator immediatelyMake ongoing recommendations for supplier and department improvement to the Receiving SupervisorPerform regular audits and reconciliations on existing inventoryAssist in other shipping duties, such as picking, packing and shipping, when requiredEnsure that the receiving area is kept clean and safe from all debris, skids are stored safely, receiving docks are always cleared, pump trucks are stored with forks buried, and all health and safety rules are met with full compliance.Other duties as requiredQualifications: 2-years of experience in a warehouse production environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAnalytical and detail oriented Excellent time management skillsHighly organized Self-motivated, initiative-driven, and team-mindedWorking EnvironmentThis position is in a warehouse environment and requires extended periods of walking and standing. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
