Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Warehouse and Kitchen Operations, this hands-on, event-based role offers flexible hours depending on event schedules and operational needs. Summary The Warehouse Attendant plays a key support role in the Food & Beverage Services department, ensuring operational readiness through accurate inventory management, organized stock, and assistance with event preparation and breakdown. This casual position is ideal for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adaptable to variable schedules. Essential Functions Inventory & Stock Management Receive, inspect, and properly store incoming deliveries and supplies Stock and restock warehouse locations, concession stands, kitchens, bars, and event spaces as needed Rotate stock using FIFO principles to ensure product freshness and minimize waste Conduct routine inventory counts and report discrepancies or shortages to warehouse leadership Maintain organized storage areas to ensure efficiency, safety, and accessibility Event Support Pull, stage, and distribute inventory and equipment for scheduled events Assist with pre-event setup and post-event breakdown, including returns and reconciliation of stock Ensure event supplies are delivered accurately and on time based on event requirements Support last-minute event needs and restocks during live events as required Warehouse Organization & Safety Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, coolers, freezers, and storage areas Follow all safety procedures for lifting, equipment usage, and food handling Report damaged goods, safety concerns, or equipment issues promptly Assist with waste reduction, recycling, and proper disposal practices Additional Duties Adapt to organizational needs and perform other duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of Westerner Park Core Competencies Accountability & Dependability Communication & Teamwork Customer Focus Adaptability & Flexibility Decision-Making & Problem-Solving Planning & Organization Initiative & Innovation Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred Previous warehouse, inventory, or stockroom experience is an asset Comfortable working in coolers, freezers, and fast-paced environments Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days ProServe and Food Safe certifications considered assets First Aid/CPR certification an asset Valid driver’s license required Physically able to work in a warehouse setting, including standing for extended periods and lifting equipment or supplies Work Environment Event-based work schedule with variable hours, including evenings and weekends Fast-paced, team-oriented environment requiring adaptability and flexibility This role supports major events and may require on-site assistance or occasional project work off-site Affiliation: Member of the Westerner Employees Association Employment Type: Casual Compensation: $16.32 – $19.00 per hour Overtime Eligible: Yes Thank you for your interest in Westerner Park.
