What You'll Do: Become a master of the SuccessFactors Onboarding Module to effectively provide support and training for hiring managers, responsible persons, or new hires to help understand their role in the Pre-Boarding process Achieve a good understanding of Nutrien’s HR policies and procedures pertaining to New Hires, both US, Canada, and Trinidad and Tobago, to be able to provide guidance and support, make administrative and procedural recommendations, and exercise judgment on sensitive issues in alignment with corporate policy/regulations. Deferring to Supervisor as appropriate Support the ongoing development and continuous improvement initiatives within the Pre-Boarding Team by participating in activities such as training, testing and the review and update of process documentation and team ways of working Administer background checks, which would include initiating background checks to specified candidates within required turnaround times, monitoring progress on background checks daily to help expedite hiring decisions, and communicating with the Talent Attraction team of ambiguous background checks Administer drug and medical scheduling, which includes initiating drug screening appointments, monitoring progress on vendor website and communicating with Talent Attraction as necessary Safeguard employee privacy where appropriate, including confidentiality and protection of sensitive information Manage the data transitioning from one system module to another, checking for accuracy and completeness, working with Talent Attraction or HR to resolve any issues identified and ensure data is corrected Responsible for monitoring and reviewing Hiring Manager task activity, sending reminders, or engaging directly where tasks are not being managed effectively. Escalate to HR where appropriate Monitor New Hire onboarding activity, ensuring all data collection tasks are completed and compliance forms are accurate and e-signed within required timelines Responsible for ensuring New Hire compliance paperwork meets legislative requirements and is received within the appropriate time frames. Engage directly with new hire if documentation is inaccurate or missing. Inform HR if any issues Troubleshoot issues identified within the Onboarding module or raised by Hiring Managers, Responsible Groups or New Hires working collaboratively with System Administrators/IT to ensure a quick and effective resolution Provide support as required by HR Operations leaders in relation to business projects/initiatives What You'll Bring: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 2+ years’ experience working in an HR Administrator or Coordinator role Experience working with an HRIS system such as SuccessFactors/SAP or Workday Experience with Canadian and US HR data, Company policies and process and legislative requirements Proficient in Microsoft Office Experience of HR data management and working within a multinational company would be considered an asset Experience using SuccessFactors, Recruitment, Onboarding or Employee Central modules is desired Excellent communication skills, including the ability to provide training virtually or in person, as well as the ability to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles Excellent customer-service orientation with the ability to influence others and build strong relationships with all levels within the organization Demonstrated self-motivation, analytical, problem-solving skills, and initiative to achieve desired outcomes Excellent attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage multiple pieces of work simultaneously with strong results and goal orientation Ability to be flexible in terms of working schedule, the potential requirement to work overtime or weekends during peak activity periods A focus on self and team development, to improve the performance of the Pre-boarding and Talent Attraction team through continuous learning Ready to make an impact with us?
