.fit_to_content{width:%;height:auto}BuyerCPC Pumps is looking for a talented professional to join our team to fill an existing vacancy in the role of Buyer.PurposeThe Buyer will be responsible for selecting and developing vendors/suppliers based on quality, price, logistics, capacity and performance, negotiating price and terms with suppliers and actively looking for ways to reduce costs while securing the best parts and services for the assembly of our products. You will:Procure parts and components for production needs in accordance with production plan and forecastDevelop and maintain a strong network of vendors who can deliver services, material and components that comply with the Company’s quality standardsNegotiate prices and terms with vendors and when appropriate assist in binding Master Service Agreements (MSA’s) and Partner Supplier Agreements (PSA’S)Communicate relevant information to your internal stakeholders and support them in their projects, budgets and planningCreate and drive solutions to improve the on-time-delivery (OTD) and Cost Saving initiativesAccurately communicate, understand and generate KPI’s with current and up to date toolsGenerate continuous improvements within in Supply Chain collaborating with all business unit Leaders, utilizing policies and proceduresAssist in organizing and supporting Partners in compliance with our Supplier Qualification and Evaluation ProcessProvide feedback and work with the Stakeholders supporting sustainability within CPC and our Supply Chain TeamTo succeed, you will need Qualification RequirementsEnthusiastic and result-driven professional with a passion for procurementTeam player who works with others to resolve problems quicklyWell-organized and self-motivatedExcellent analytical and critical thinking skillsHigh energy with exciting motivation, comfortable in a fast-paced environmentUnderstand and communicate forward thinking initiatives creating a positive change-oriented environmentComfortable with ERP softwareGood understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)Ability to read blueprints is an assetOccasional travel to visit existing or potential suppliers may be requiredEducation and/or Experience2 to 5 years of purchasing experienceExperience purchasing raw materials, purchased components in a manufacturing environmentPumps and Compressors experience is an assetUnderstanding of metal casting processes (sand and investment) and materials (ASTM) is an assetUnderstanding of MSA’s and PSA’s is an assetPhysical Demands Office environment involves sedentary work with repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and/or fingersAbility to work in a fast-paced environment where problems occur and volumes are heavyReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functionsWork Environment Must be aware of and comply with all relevant safety policy and proceduresOccasional travel includes visits to vendorsCPC Pumps International Inc. is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, inclusion, and accessibility.
