The ideal candidate will be recognized as a collaborative leader internally and externally, driving towards a unified go-to-market strategy enabling us to deliver compelling offerings to our clients.The successful applicant will be involved in a broad range of responsibilities, including:Complete and keep up-to-date an evaluation of the Total Addressable Market (TAM), current market share, competitor analysis, discover unmet needs, and evaluate current client experience with Montrose clients.Act as Key Client Leader (KCL) as part of Montrose’s formal Key Client Program (KCP).Develop account plans for the Top Mining Management companies; where appropriate transition accounts into the Key Client Program.Supervise and assist KCLs within the sector on account plans and strategy.Identify additional accounts for inclusion in the KCP.Develop a deep understanding of client’s needs in the Sector through discovery calls, interviews and immersing yourself into their industry.Create a pipeline of future KCP clients by identifying and incubating high-growth accounts.Assist Lines of Business (LOB) and KCLs in managing existing contract processes for renewals and obtaining new customer MSAs within the sector.Prepare monthly reports with data analysis from the sector’s performance to include sales pipeline, client activities, leads, events, etc.Collaborate across LOBs and the Global Mining Sector Lead to develop comprehensive go-to-market solutions and an integrated value proposition tailored to resonate with clients within your sector. ­Increase Montrose’s visibility and brand within the sector and develop and execute a unified, strategic conference plan that achieves ROI and event success in partnership with the Events Team, ensuring conference attendees are coordinated, strategic, and clear on roles and expectations.Partner with the Marketing team to align on an integrated value proposition bespoke to the sector and help influence thought-leadership content and ensure social media is up to date, enhancing customer acquisition efforts.Foster a trusting and collaborative relationship across divisional sales teams and encourage strong inter-LOB communication, ensuring teams stay connected and informed on sector initiatives and opportunities.Stay informed with industry trends, technologies, and regulatory developments related to the mining sector.Act as an expert and trusted advisor to clients in the sectorOrchestrate the communication of internal market updates and knowledge-sharing sessions that enable alignment, connectivity and information-sharing across LOBs.Assist in identifying capacity gaps to proactively address potential opportunities, including new developing markets, service offerings, regulatory support needs, and geographic expansions.What We Are Looking ForThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform their duties and responsibilities.15+ years of experience in the mining geotechnical or environmental sector, with a track record of success in managing large key accounts within a consulting settingBachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering, Science, or related technical field; MBA considered an RPP or equivalent is preferred.Proven ability to lead in a matrixed environment and operate as a trusted client advisorStrong leadership and team collaboration skills, with a passion for developing client relationships and talentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate our value proposition across teams, clients and stakeholdersAdaptable, resilient, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, evolving environmentProficiency in strategic account planning, sales forecasting, and CRM management, particularly in SalesforceA proactive, growth-oriented mindset, with the ability to challenge the status quo and offer innovative solutionsWillingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 35%Experience with merger and acquisition integration considered an assetWhy Choose Montrose?At Montrose you will be part of an amazing community of collaborative people who live shared mission and principles and bring industry-leading technical expertise to their work every day. This is a permanent position with a salary range of $230,000 to $280,000, starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location.
