HR Generalist Location: Hamilton, ON Hours: 30 hours per week – Part-Time Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year-Based upon experience - pro-rated for 30 hours per week.  Reports To: Operations Manager About Our Client:A leading manufacturer based in Hamilton, known for their high-quality brushes and commitment to innovation and craftsmanship. Overview: The HR Generalist manages a wide range of day-to-day human resources activities, acting as a central point of contact for employees and managers. This role translates business goals into operational reality by providing HR support services to both office and manufacturing teams. Key Responsibilities: Recruitment and Onboarding: Facilitate the hiring process from sourcing candidates to onboarding new employees and managing exits. Employee Relations: Resolve workplace issues, mediate conflicts, and maintain a healthy work environment. Compensation and Benefits: Administer employee benefits, including RSPs, health insurance, and vacation time; assist with payroll. Compliance and Policy: Ensure adherence to labour laws, collective union agreements, and regulations; communicate policies to employees; work towards improving policies and procedures. Training and Development: Implement and coordinate training programs and performance management systems (employee reviews) to support employee growth and company goals. Record Keeping: Maintain and update employee records, files, and other essential HR documentation. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Bachelor’s degree; Human Resources Management, Business or a related area of study. 2+ years of experience in human resources management within a manufacturing environment. Strong skills in performance evaluations, conflict resolution, negotiation, and employee motivation. Knowledge of HR policies and best practices.
