HR Generalist (Corporate) Alberici Constructors, Ltd. Overview The HR Generalist (Corporate) provides generalist human resources support to various programs including total rewards, employee life cycle, recruitment and training. A core component of the position includes employee life cycle administration, including analysis and communication of compensation, benefits and retirement programs for Alberici Canada. About The Role This position is primarily office‑based in Burlington, Ontario, with occasional visits to project sites. Flexible work arrangements including remote work may be available, in alignment with business needs and the company’s remote‑hybrid work policy. Key Responsibilities Act as a trusted advisor and first point of contact for HR matters, including employee life cycle administration. Manage various HR administrative processes that require sensitivity and confidentiality, such as preparing requisitions, employment offers and project agreements. Provide subject‑matter expertise related to total rewards, including compensation, benefits and retirement plans. Lead the administration of compensation, benefits and retirement plans, programs and processes. Support compensation structures, including salary ranges, job evaluations, merit increase processes and maintaining job descriptions. Lead annual compensation surveys and career ladders. Lead benefits program reviews, including annual benefits renewals, research, analysis and benchmarking. Lead pension/retirement plan administration processes, including monthly and annual contribution processes and maintaining compliance with pension regulations. Lead immigration program including partnering with external legal counsel to manage immigration processes, paperwork and tracking. Lead onboarding, training and information sessions related to total rewards, such as benefit onboarding overview meetings with new hires. Lead communications related to total rewards, including employee information memos and promotional materials. Lead development and continuous improvement of HR metrics, programs and policies. Support and lead other HR programs and initiatives as required, such as recruitment, learning and development, training or otherwise. Act as a core team member of the HR team, providing support and guidance to other HR team members and creating a collaborative and productive team environment. Contribute positively to Alberici’s culture, values, and safe environment. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications or a related field is required. Minimum of 4 years of Human Resources experience, with a focus on benefits and compensation management. Strong knowledge of and demonstrated experience with Ontario employment laws related to total rewards is required. Certified Human Resources Professional/Leader and/or Certified Compensation Professional is preferred. Experience with HRIS systems is preferred. Ability to travel within the greater Toronto area; Ontario driver’s license and/or appropriate mode of transportation to project sites required.
