Accountant (In-Office)$50,000-$65,0008:00am-5:00pm with a one-hour lunchPerks –2 weeks’ vacation, growth opportunities, training, bonus (not given in the first year), long tenure employeesNo benefits available• Record daily financial transactions and process accounts payable/receivable using QuickBooks Online.• Perform regular bank reconciliations; ensure accurate general ledger and inventory entries, and maintain robust financial records.• Assist in preparing detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.• Create, format, and manage reports and documentation in Microsoft Office.• Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making• Collaborate with project managers to ensure precise cost tracking and job costing.• Assist in managing project budgets, contract billing, and cost control processes tailored to industry-specific challenges.• Ensure financial operations adhere to established accounting standards and regulatory requirements.• Prepare documentation for audits and tax filings, contributing to continuous process improvements within the department.• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders regarding financial matters3+ years’ experience working in a similar roleDegree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferredProficiency with QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel (advanced skills preferred—V-Lookups, able to create reports, etc), and Microsoft Word.Experience in the manufacturing or construction industry is a big assetExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.Disclaimer: This is currently for an active job opportunity.
