**Work Schedule**Standard (Mon-Fri)**Environmental Conditions**Office**Job Description****Key Responsibilities**Lead and supervise day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger functions.Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff to support career growth, team performance, and succession planning.Manage and complete the monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations and variance analysis to ensure the integrity of data.Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and US GAAP across all transactions and reporting activities.Coordinate the revenue recognition process in accordance with accounting standards and Thermo Fisher Accounting Policy.Manage all government remittances, including GST/HST, and other required filings.Review OCOGS accounts to validate accuracy and accurate classification of transactions.Coordinate annual updates of standard costs by the Operations team, and review DL/OH rates for accuracy and changes.Participate in the evaluation, implementation, and integration of financial systems and process improvements.Collaborate on projects and ad-hoc initiatives to support business goals.Thermo Fisher Scientific is an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability or any other legally protected status.
