While the primary language for communication and duty completion is English, a commitment to clear and effective communication with a diverse team is essential.AdvantagesWorking as an R&D Operations Analyst through Randstad Professional offers unique benefits and a chance to make a high-impact contribution.• Opportunity to work with a globally recognized, innovative apparel brand in their R&D lab setting. • Competitive pay rate of $35-$37 per hour for high-value operational expertise. • Hybrid work environment (4 days on-site in Vancouver, BC / 1 day remote) offering flexibility. • A defined 4-month project-based contract with clear objectives and the potential for extension based on project success. • Direct guidance and support from the hiring manager to ensure a smooth transition and necessary training. • Be part of a team that values a not-ego-based atmosphere and thoughtful problem-solving. • Access to the expertise and career support of a global leader in business administration and professional talent solutions.ResponsibilitiesThe R&D Operations Analyst will focus on optimizing operational efficiency and data visibility within the labs team.• Conduct in-depth discovery and process mapping sessions with key stakeholders to thoroughly understand current pain points and systems data flows. • Translate complex process inputs into well thought-out visual solutions, including mockups with fake data where necessary, to facilitate understanding. • Design, create, and implement robust tracking and reporting systems, including automated dashboards utilizing tools like Smartsheet and PowerBI. • Ensure clear understanding and reporting of team ROI and testing outcomes to various levels of internal stakeholders. • Develop and maintain comprehensive supporting process documentation and user-friendly "how-to" guides for the team. • Act as a Project Manager for the team’s special operational projects, creating and deploying supporting project management tools. • Review, improve, and organize the team’s file storage management system to ensure detailed testing reports are easily accessible alongside reported ROI data. • Provide essential business administration and systems support to help the team overcome current operational bottlenecks.QualificationsTo be considered for this R&D Operations Analyst role, candidates must meet the following minimum criteria.• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related field. • Demonstrated professional experience in Business Analysis, Process Mapping, Data Visualization, and/or Project Management. • Proven expertise in following and troubleshooting complex systems data flows and creating automated, functional dashboards. • Experience or strong aptitude for managing and improving file storage and document management systems. • Knowledge of kinesiology and/or the apparel industry is a valuable asset, but the skillset is paramount. • Proven ability to handle both high-level system design and meticulous data management/cleanup.The ideal R&D Operations Analyst possesses a unique blend of analytical, technical, and interpersonal skills.• Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for solving complex systems and data flow challenges. • Expert-level fluency in tracking, reporting, and data visualization tools such as Smartsheet, PowerBI, and Excel (creating complex sheets/systems). • Proven experience in Business Analysis, Process Mapping, and Requirements Gathering. • Strong ability to take complex processes and create solutions that are robust, seamless, and user-friendly for data entry and output understanding. • A service mindset with a focus on accountability, autonomy, and an eagerness to learn complex, unfamiliar fields of knowledge. • Demonstrated ability to listen intently to stakeholder needs, learn rapidly, and translate findings into effective, working solutions. • Capacity for both strategic big-picture thinking about process possibilities and performing the necessary "grunt work" of data cleanup and system implementation.SummaryAre you ready to leverage your Business Analyst and systems expertise to drive operational efficiency for an industry leader?
