The Queen Elizabeth II Hospital Redevelopment is officially underway. Modern Niagara was awarded the mechanical design-build subcontract for the project. Duties and Responsibilities: - Supervise and coordinate daily activities of piping crews to ensure work is completed safely, on time and to quality standards - Monitor piping material usage and inventory, ensuring timely delivery and proper handling of components - Conduct regular site inspections to verify project timelines, safety and installation standards - Collaborate with project mangers, design and other trades to resolve technical issues and maintain workflow - Train and monitor team members - Prepare and maintain accurate progress reports and flag any issues impacting schedules and/or budgets Must haves: - 3-5 years of experience as a Piping Metal General Foreperson or equivalent leadership role - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Proven ability to plan, schedule, and drive project execution - Highly skilled at reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications - A customer-first mindset, with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities - Experience in commercial, institutional, and healthcare construction projects - Experience managing piping materials, tools and equipment Nice to haves: - Local 56 membership — if you’re not currently a member, we can assist with the process - Knowledge of IPC in Health Care Facilities Modern Niagara values passion, initiative, determination, professionalism, and teamwork and we are committed to ensuring that our teams have everything they need to succeed.
