JOMO Construction Services, a commercial general contracting firm operating in the Halifax Regional Municipality, is recruiting for Construction Site Superintendents/Forepersons for upcoming projects. Work will range from small renovations to complex retail, commercial or institutional assignments. Construction periods normally vary from 2 to 20+ weeks.

The Site Superintendent/Foreperson is responsible for the management and coordination of all on site activities with subtrades, suppliers, client project team and local governing authorities to ensure safe, successful and timely project completion. Experience in a supervisory position on commercial construction projects is recommended. Strong attention to detail and past work with extensive finish packages is preferred. Excellent communication skills, combined with the ability to understand and interpret construction drawings and specifications are essential, along with the capacity to manage schedules and enforce strict safety requirements. Past experience with basic carpentry would prove beneficial in this role.
