The Brock Ambassador will be responsible for welcoming prospective students and their supporters to Brock University, as well as other guests or members of the University community. Ambassadors will be prepared to provide exceptional customer service and information regarding the Brock experience, general wayfinding, and campus resources at Brock’s main campus.The Campus Visit program is instrumental in the post-secondary decision-making process. Brock Ambassadors enthusiastically communicate with prospective students and guests to ensure that the advantages of pursuing their post-secondary education at Brock are clearly demonstrated. This is a significant role as there is a growing importance and demand for campus visits. It is essential that guests experience a positive on-campus visit and that the Brock Ambassador is equipped to offer a comprehensive tour and convey pertinent information effectively.About the RoleThe Brock Ambassador will welcome guests and conduct in-person and virtual campus tours of main campus, sharing their love of Brock and introducing prospective students and their families to campus life. They will collaborate with other departments regularly to ensure accurate information and adequate support is available to provide a complete and meaningful campus experience.The Brock Ambassador will represent Brock and the Student Recruitment team at various recruitment events including: Fall Preview (November 2026); Open House (April 2027); and participate in other undergraduate recruitment initiatives when necessary.Hours of operation and required availability include weekdays, and occasional evenings, weekends, and school breaks.The Brock Ambassador (Campus Tour Guide) will:Customer ServiceGreet and connect with campus visitors to ensure guests feel welcome and important.Provide the utmost care and attention to guests to ensure their inquiries are addressed in an appropriate and professional manner.Demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of Brock content, campus familiarity, and Brock on-campus services and resources.Student Recruitment SupportDemonstrate superior professionalism and behaviour that indicates a personal commitment to innovation, teamwork, flexibility, and integrity.Convey a well-rounded student experience at all recruitment events to develop a strong rapport with prospective students.Liaise with academic and student service departments at Brock University , provide event support, provide tours for members of the Brock community, connect guests with appropriate departments when necessary.Introduce prospective students and guests to the Brock community.Represent Brock and the Student Recruitment team at recruitment events both on and off campus.Information DeliveryDeliver important information to prospective students and guests via the campus tours (in-person and virtual), telephone, text, email, and one-on-one settings.Lead regularly scheduled campus tours (schedules are for an entire semester).Provide customized tours for diverse groups.Regularly correspond with guests via .Other duties as assignedKey Skills and ExperienceMust be an undergraduate student at Brock University for the 2026-2027 school year (Fall/Winter)A love of Brock, including experience participating in a wide range of Brock-related activities.Superior professionalism and behaviour that indicates a personal commitment to innovation, teamwork, flexibility, and integrity.Knowledge of the programs and student services available at Brock.Superior oral and written communication skills.Excellent planning and organizational skills, and attention to detail.Self-motivation and the ability to take initiative.Strong leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, and an energetic and positive attitude.Superior customer service and active listening skills.Creativity, flexibility, enthusiasm, reliability, and punctuality.Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Application This position is open to current Brock students.
