JOB OVERVIEWWe are seeking a DLP Platform Migration Specialist to support the transition of our Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) solutions to a new technology platform. This role will ensure that all DLP control rulesets, configurations, and enforcement measures are accurately migrated, optimized, and maintained. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in DLP ruleset management, a deep understanding of data security protocols, and a proven track record of handling complex DLP platform migrations.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDLP Control Ruleset MigrationSupport migration of DLP control rulesets from existing platform to new platformMap and transfer rulesets for data identification, classification, and monitoringReview and validate current rulesets; recommend improvements to optimize detection and protectionCollaborate with business stakeholders to align rulesets with data protection requirementsDLP Control Ruleset OptimizationRefine existing rulesets for proper configuration and alignment with organizational goalsDevelop and test new ruleset templates for enhanced security and complianceFine-tune rulesets to minimize false positives and maximize alert accuracyCollaboration and CommunicationWork closely with DLP engineers and stakeholders to ensure smooth integrationProvide guidance on enforcement, classification, and monitoring post-migrationPartner with incident response teams to monitor effectiveness of rulesetsCompliance and ReportingEnsure rulesets comply with data protection laws, industry regulations, and organizational standardsCreate detailed reports on migration process, configurations, testing results, and changesTraining and DocumentationDevelop comprehensive documentation for rulesets, configurations, and migration stepsConduct training sessions for security teams and stakeholdersTesting and ValidationPerform thorough testing and validation of rulesets post-migrationAddress issues or gaps in execution and enforcementQUALIFICATIONSExperience3–5 years in DLP ruleset management and implementationProven experience with DLP platform migration or large-scale IT security migrationsFamiliarity with DLP platforms (ProofPoint DLP – must have; Forcepoint, McAfee, Digital Guardian, etc.)Strong understanding of data security and protection best practicesSkillsHands-on experience with ruleset creation, modification, and migrationTroubleshooting and optimization skills to minimize disruptionsStrong analytical skills to interpret data and detect risksProficiency in scripting/automation tools (PowerShell, Python)Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaborationPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience with cloud-based DLP solutions and integrations (Microsoft 365, AWS, Google Workspace)Knowledge of advanced DLP techniques (content inspection, behavioral analysis, ML-based detection)Symantec DLP experience (nice to have) Education: Bachelors Degree
