Course Code and Title: ENGC87H3 Creative Writing: Fiction II Course Description: An intensive study of the writing of fiction through a selected theme, topic, or author. The course will undertake its study through discussions, readings, and workshop sessions. Course Enrollment (est.): 20 Number of Positions (est.): 1 Qualifications: Graduate degree in English, Creative Writing related field, or relevant teaching experience. Strong academic record and professional promise. Strong publishing record is an asset. Teaching experience at the university level is an asset, especially previous experience in the teaching of writing about creative writing at the university level. Duties: All normal duties related to the design and teaching of a university credit course, including preparation and delivery of course content; development, administration and marking of assignments; calculation and submission of grades; holding regular office hours. Salary: in accordance with the current CUPE 3902 Unit 3 Collective Agreement, the stipend rate for a half course (Y, F or S), inclusive of vacation pay, will be:Sessional Lecturer I: $9,820.70 Sessional Lecturer I-Long Term: $10,510.04 Sessional Lecturer II: $10,510.04 Sessional Lecturer II-Long Term: $10,760.28 Sessional Lecturer III: $10,760.28 Sessional Lecturer III-Long Term: $11,030.36 Please note that should rates stipulated in the collective agreement vary from rates stated in this posting, the rates stated in the collective agreement shall prevail.
