Course Information Course Code and Title: MGAD65H3: Canadian Income Taxation 2 Lecture Section: Thursday 7 pm to 10 pm Course Description: This course is designed to give the student an understanding of the more complex issues of federal income taxation, by applying current tax law to practical problems and cases. Topics include computation of corporate taxes, corporate distributions, corporate re‑organisations, partnerships, trusts, and individual and corporate tax planning. Estimated Enrollment: 60 Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must demonstrate superior teaching ability and possess appropriate academic and/or professional qualifications (Ph.D. or Ph.D. candidacy in a relevant field) along with a mastery of the subject matter. The successful applicant will have a proven record of teaching excellence in this or a closely related course, the ability to engage a diverse student body, strong organisational and communication skills, and experience using relevant learning technologies and online teaching platforms. Preferred Qualifications: In addition to the minimum requirements, the ideal candidate will have substantial practical experience applying the subject matter in professional contexts, as well as an active research profile in the area covered by the course, demonstrated through recent peer‑reviewed publications in academic journals. Duties The duties of Sessional Lecturers include the normal duties associated with the design and teaching of university degree credit courses or sections of courses. These include the preparation and delivery of course content, including lectures and/or seminars; creation of courseware; the development/administration of assignments, tests and examinations; the marking and grading of student work and the submission of grades to appropriate University officials in accordance with policy; the maintenance of reasonable hours of student contact outside of scheduled contact hours; and the supervision of the day-to‑day work of any Sessional Instructional Assistants or Teaching Assistants assigned to the course. Estimated TA Support Approximately 50 minutes per student enrolled over 30.
