Position Details The Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Lethbridge is currently seeking applications for an Administrative Support position commencing immediately. This is a 0.8 FTE temporary position.The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact in the Dean’s Office and provide comprehensive administrative support to the Dean’s Office and academic staff. Key duties and responsibilities include front desk reception and responding to general inquiries; word processing and file management; scheduling appointments; managing databases and listservs; coordinating room bookings and supporting special events; providing general program information; liaising with internal and external suppliers and stakeholders, and providing administrative support to various committees.In addition, the position will support faculty communications by managing and updating social media pages, assisting with the creation and distribution of internal and external communications, and developing basic graphic materials (such as posters, digital signage, and social media content) in accordance with Faculty and University branding guidelines. Position Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a two-year College Diploma in a related field and a minimum of one-year related work experience, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Proven administrative skills, as well as an advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office (word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and e-mail and database applications) is essential, as well as familiarity with updating website content. As this is the first point of contact for the Dean’s Office, it is critical that the successful incumbent presents a good first impression. The ideal candidate will be able to build rapport with all members of the University community, have excellent communication skills (oral and written), strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to work in an environment with numerous competing deadlines. Familiarity with the University of Lethbridge is considered an asset. The ability to work independently within a team structure in a busy office is essential. Other important qualities include professionalism, initiative, patience and flexibility. Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) $3,648.00 - $4,036.00 monthly Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) $3,648.00 - $4,422.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 6)
