LOCATION AND ABOUT NHH ROLE OVERVIEW Reporting to the MR Charge Technologist and accountable to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging and the MR Medical Director, the full-time MR Technologist will be responsible for performing routine and advanced MR examinations including interventional procedures. The Technologist will be expected to make independent decisions while performing these duties. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists (CMRITO) of Ontario as a Magnetic Resonance Technologist, MRT (MR) and being a member in good standing is required Previous recent related GE Centricity PACS experience a definite asset Proven good attendance record with capabilities of maintaining this same standard PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORKING CONDITIONS Standing, sitting, walking – possibly for prolonged periods Required use of computer systems e.g., Nuclear Medicine control console, Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) May be required to view computer monitors for extended periods of time The job requires the use of office equipment, computers, telephones, fax machines and other peripheral electronic equipment related to PACS Responds professionally and appropriately in high stress and emergency situations Required to assist patients during the transfer to and from the Nuclear Medicine table (e.g., to and from wheelchair to MR table(s), to and from stretcher/bed to MR table etc.) Required to move and/or transport hospital related equipment EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS Successful applicants are required provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check, that was complete less than one year from the date of hire. This requirement must be met within the first sixty (60) days of employment. Additionally, to the above, successful applicants are also required to complete the Health Care Worker Health review process which includes providing an up-to-date immunization record to ensure compliance with the Ontario Hospital Association Communicable Diseases Surveillance Protocols within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
