Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools (GSCS) is Saskatchewan’s largest Catholic school division, serving over 23,000 students across 50 schools in Saskatoon, Biggar, Humboldt, Warman and Martensville. We are committed to a robust response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action and to partnership with First Nations, Métis and Inuit families and communities. With a student population of more than 3,500 Indigenous students, together, we have developed a variety of programs to foster Indigenous student belonging, participation, and success. This includes a kindergarten to grade nine Cree Bilingual program at awâsisak kâ-nîmîhtocik - St. Francis School, Michif language programming at St. Michael Community School, cultural programming at Oskayak High School, a state-of-the-art fitness facility at E. D. Feehan Catholic High School, as well as a nationally recognized social pediatrics program at St. Mary’s Wellness and Education Centre. We are forever grateful to Indigenous educators, past and present, for their contributions to Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools. A workforce that reflects and affirms the diversity of our school division is an integral contributor to quality and responsive Catholic education.
