Job DescriptionSGS is looking to hire a Certified CGSB level 2 (UT, MT), CSA W178.2 level 2 (VT) and AMPP-NACE level 2 Inspector as an independent contractor for a QA/QC assignment that will start in January 2026 and last approximatively one year. The exact location is Princeton, Ontario. The contractor will be required to complete Visual and NDT Inspections once a week (8 hours on-site Inspection) and NACE level 2 Inspections 3 times a week / 8 hours on-site inspections for a total of 4 days a week.Scope of work includes:Review of workmanship on steel fabrication for conformance with project specifications and Review of fitting Dimensional ChecksVisual Examination - 100% of all welds.Ultrasonic Test Method - 100% of all complete penetration welds.Magnetic Particle Test Method – 100% of all filet welds.Inspection of Bolts of Slip-Critical and not slip critical or pre-tensioned connectionsQualificationsMust be a Certified CGSB Level 2 (UT and MT)Must be a Certified CSA W178.2 level 2 (VT)Must be a Certified AMPP - NACE CIP Level 2 Minimum of 2+ years of Coating Inspection experience5 years of shop inspection experience (vendor surveillance).Ideal candidate would have steel structure inspection experience.Detail oriented and well organizedStrong analytical and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team, as well as independentlyProven time management skills and a strong attention to detail.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.Work schedule: 4 days a week/ 8 hour daysThe contractor will need to provide their own equipment.The contractor needs to be an independent contractor (IC)Additional InformationSGS is an Equal Opportunity Employer, and as such we recruit, hire, train, and promote persons in all job classifications without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression and Indigenous status, or any other characteristics protected by law.
