You will work with your team members to deliver a high-quality customer experience that exceeds customer expectations through the following tasks:Remove and replace brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, and bearingsTroubleshoot and repair electrical systems, lighting systems, and associated partsRepair or replace chassis components including springs, spring hangers, equalizers, axles, subframes and their associated parts, air bags and air system componentsRepair or replace bumpers, bumper braces, mud flap brackets, dolly legs and dolly leg assembliesRepair or replace decking, rub rails, doors and door trim, and perform minor repairs to roofs, panels, nose panels, lower and upper rails, and associated partsPerform CVIP inspectionsRepair and replace hydraulic pumps, safety valves and any other necessary mechanical componentsPerform incidental welding operations on steel and/or aluminum trailersDiagnose defects in light/heavy duty trucks and perform required mechanical servicesPerform repairs & preventative maintenance services on heavy/medium trucks and trailersEnsure documentation is complete and accurateOther duties as assigned What We Require: The ideal candidate is a registered level 3 apprentice or higher skillsetAble to perform CVIP on trucks and trailers preferred or willing to obtain licenses to performDemonstrated understanding of highway truck and automotive wiringPrevious welding experience is preferred but not requiredPrevious experience installing plows, sanders or dump boxes is preferred but not required Must be able to meet the physical requirements: Lift up to 75lbs, able to work while kneeling/squatting and crouching, work at varying heights and enclosed areas Must posses their own tools to complete tasksDemonstrated proficiency in computer systems and standard office softwareExcellent customer service skills – Dedicated to exceeding the expectations of internal and external customersStrong communication skills – Confident in delivering clear and detailed information to customers and team membersTeam-oriented, cooperative, adaptable, disciplined, and solution-focusedProfessionalism, integrity, and committed to safety and excellence What We Offer:·Competitive Wages -PLUS Yearly bonus·Great Benefits -Health, Dental, Vision, and much, much more ·RRSP Matching ·Health Spending Account – $500 per year·Paid sick days and Short-Term Disability Benefits·Discount on gym membership ·Retirement Perks ·And an overall great place to beFort Garry Industries welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
