We are growing and looking for a qualified Heavy Duty Truck & Trailer Mechanic to join our growing team today in our Edmonton.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Heavy Duty Truck & Trailer Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on commercial transport vehicles & trailers; ensuring all work meets manufacturer's specifications and legislated regulations; interpreting and processing work orders; and providing performance evaluations, mentorship, and supervision to the apprentice team.

  • Ensure all equipment is maintained to the highest standards to maximize uptime and availability

  • Inspect and test mechanical units (engines, transmissions, axles, brake systems) to locate faults and malfunctions

  • Diagnose, adjust, repair, or replace parts and components on truck systems (chassis, frame, cab, engine & drivetrain, air brakes, steering, fuel, hydraulic, electrical, electronic)

  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components on truck-trailer and trailer systems (structural, brake, electrical)

  • Promote safety and quality; follow all health, safety, environmental policies and procedures

  • Complete related duties as assigned

What You Bring:

  • Heavy Duty Truck & Trailer Mechanic with minimum 5 years experience is required

  • Level 3 or higher is required

  • CVIP Certification (considered an asset)

  • Class 1 License (considered an asset)

  • Safety-first mindset; able to maintain a clean, organized work area

  • Proven ability to interpret work orders/technical manuals and document repairs & parts accurately

  • Strong diagnostics across truck and trailer systems; capable in scheduled PM and corrective repairs

  • High attention to detail, strong organization, and clear communication across teams

  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory standards

  • Ability to pass a company paid criminal record check and pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
