Olympia’s staff are expected to model values such as caring, cooperation, enthusiasm, integrity, self- leadership, commitment & teamwork.  Role Summary This is a leadership role. The Head of Waterfront is responsible for the overall safety, regulatory compliance, and operational management of the waterfront area. A primary duty is safety and risk management, which includes enforcing LSS, OPASSE, and OCA regulations, leading search and rescue training, and ensuring ongoing staff education in waterfront procedures and risk management. This position ensures effective waterfront management by maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the area, overseeing swim tests, conducting equipment inventories, and managing the proper maintenance of rescue boats and gear. Finally, supervises waterfront staff. Key Responsibilities Oversee the waterfront, programming and safety  Set an example of how to be an excellent Outdoor Education Instructor at Olympia Exemplify and uphold Olympia’s core values of safety, teamwork, and respect at all times Create a positive and uplifting environment for all staff  Build relationships with all clients and communicate clearly with them  Staff Management  Assist with initial and on-going staff training & coordinate= Qualifications Required: National Lifeguard  Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C  Clean Police Record Check  Ability to lead a team  Ability to work long hours  Experience working with youth in a camp setting  Strong communication & customer service skills  Preferred: G Licence and a clean driving record  ORCKA or Paddle Canada Certifications Pleasure Craft Operator Craft  What We Offer Competitive salary On Site housing The opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of youth.
