At EBC, you will benefit from exciting professional development opportunities.During your internship, you will be involved or oversee duties usually assigned to a Project Manager. You will assist the Project Manager in various tasks pertaining to the job site, including planning, organizing, and supporting project execution works; from negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to providing support with work methods. You will also develop and suggest improvements to design standards, advise, and solve complex design and engineering issues on site.Reach your full potential with usResponsibilitiesMonitor works daily through the technical and administrative tasks assigned to you.Plan and oversee works coordination with foremen, surveyors, superintendents, engineers, project managers and subcontractors.Prepare and follow up on technical issues in plans and specifications.Prepare, monitor, analyse and manage subcontractor files.Contribute to contract negotiations when necessary.Contribute to project scheduling.Obtain permits and authorizations required to carry out work.Plan and check material orders as needed.Follow-up on "Conflict detection" when the project is executed in BIM.Assist, review and communicate technical questions and change requests to the customer representative and follow-up when required.Plan, supervise and contribute to the development of appropriate construction methods and processes per contractual requirements, while respecting current health and safety requirements.Participate in site meetings with various project stakeholders.Follow up and manage deficiencies at the end of the project.Contribute to traffic management when required.RequirementsRequirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, in progress.Relevant experience in engineering or construction is an important asset.A driver's license and/or ability to travel may be required in some cases.Agrees to work 4 months on site (Campbell River).Ideal Candidate Is versatile and adaptable.Is a fast learner.Respects deadlines.Possesses strong teamwork skills.BenefitsAn internship at EBC means:You actively participate in larger-than-life construction projects.You work on projects across our vast Canadian territory, offering exceptional professional and personal experiences.Colleagues are delighted to share time and knowledge with our interns and their infectious passion about their work.The perfect opportunity to enter the workforce.Advantageous compensation and generous remote project incentives.The possibility to secure a position at EBC upon graduation.An unforgettable experience
