What you’ll be doing: Assisting team members with receiving and sorting donations. Providing exceptional customer service at all times in a variety of situations to enhance the donor experience. Educating customers and donors about Goodwill’s mission. Unpacking totes for team members and to support the pricing process. Preparing racks for merchandising on the retail floor. Transporting items to and from the sales floor and place on shelves, bins and racks. Ensuring floors are free of stock and that all rack and shelves are neat. Ensuring a clean, organized and safe work environment at all times, as per site image standards outlined. What you bring to the table: Must be 15 years of age or older. Must pass a criminal record check, including Vulnerable Sector Check. Exceptional customer service skills to interact with donors and members of the public. Must have conversational English skills. Dependability and reliability is required. Ability to work independently and unsupervised. Patient and able to work with volunteers and team members with a wide range of skills and abilities. Ability to use material moving equipment, such as dollies, rolling carts and pallet jacks. As this position requires lifting, sorting and moving donations, candidates must be able to regularly lift in excess of 22 kilograms (50 pounds).
