Units are on your behalf, based on the company’s safety and financial performance, at no cost to you.Key Responsibilities:Prune trees to remove dead, damaged, or diseased branches to improve their structure, appearance, and safety.Ensure proper pruning techniques are followed to avoid damaging the tree.Work with tree-climbing techniques or aerial lifts for larger trees in a safe and competent manner.Supervise arborist laborers or tree care crews during tree care projects.Coordinate and manage tasks on larger job sites, ensuring smooth operations and safe practices.Evaluate site conditions and recommend the best tree care practices for the location.Assume responsibility for the inspection and proper working conditions of tools, trucks, and other work equipment.Requests repair or replacement of equipment when necessary.Maintain detailed records of tree care activities, including treatments, inspections, and maintenance schedules.Other duties as required.Experience and Knowledge Expectations:Current ISA or Manitoba Pruning Certification, or ability to obtain certification.2 years’ experience trimming/ pruning trees in a residential setting.Valid Class 5 driver’s license with less than 6 demerits; air brakes endorsement is considered an asset.Skilled with tree climbing procedures and have aerial lift experience;Demonstratedcompetency utilizing Aerial Lifts, Bucket Trucks, Chippers, and Chain Saws.Experienced knowledge working with trees, shrubs, and hedges for removal, pruning and maintenanceApplicant must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.Valid First-Aid and CPR or willingness to obtain.Ability to work as part of a team in physically demanding environments.Motivated to learn independently and from team members, with strong time management skills.Proficiency in operating and maintaining tools and equipment.Comfortable working in noisy environments with proper PPE.Willingness to work long hours, overtime, and participate in on-call rotations during emergencies.Basic knowledge of trees, including identification and growth habits would be considered an asset.Join Our Team:Wright Tree Service of Canada is a business unit of an employee-owned company formed in 2017, known as Wright Canada Holdings (WCH).
