We are passionate about making a global impact through cutting-edge technology while staying rooted in values of intentional innovation, trust, ethics, and stability.About the role: The Assembler reports to the Production Manager and assembles instruments and sub-assembly builds according to established procedures and works through troubleshooting while maintaining production schedule. A day in the life: Electro-mechanical assembly of products using jigs, hand and power toolsPerform soldering/desoldering functions associated with surface mount and through-hole components as per IPC-A-610Read and understand assembly instructions, drawings and other technical documentsIdentify, troubleshoot and resolve assembly related issuesIdentify product or material defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are notedEnsure accurate data collection and recordingMaintain a clean and organized work environmentComplete all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety How do we define success in the role?Safety focused mindset Strong ability to multitask Adaptable Eager to learn new methods and proceduresStrong attention to detailWhat you bring to the team:RequirementsHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent. Post-secondary diploma in a related field preferred1 year + of experience as a Mechanical AssemblerBasic soldering skillsStrong computer skillsCommitment to quality and safety with strong knowledge of Workplace Safety best practicesWork independently and complete daily tasks in a timely mannerPhysical Requirements: This position may require prolonged periods of sitting and/ or standingThis position requires a high level of dexterity AssetsExperience assembling harnesses and cables Soldering experience IPC-A-610 certification or training Experience with fine wire Experience with a microscope Why Nanometrics?
