Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, the Director of Logistics, Equipment and Procurement aligns the national procurement and logistics strategy to meet operational requirements and overall corporate objectives. They lead, organize, and optimize procurement and logistics operations across Canada by identifying regional opportunities, developing, and managing stakeholders across the various purchasing categories. They implement national cost optimization strategies and ensure their control and efficiency across all departmental activities. They play a leading role in implementing the strategy in the United States, working with local teams.

University degree relevant to the position or in supply chain management;At least 10 years of demonstrated experience in progressive supply chain management roles;
Bilingualism (Essential);
Solid experience in team supervision and management;
Excellent communication and presentation skills;
Mastery of best practices and methodologies in purchasing (Category Management, P2P, Contract Management, Supplier Performance Management, and Supply Chain Management, Material Management, and Inventory Management);
Strong operational, commercial, and strategic skills;
Highly autonomous and adept at managing emergencies;

Willing to travel regularly throughout Canada and the United States as needed.
What you will do to complete this mission successfully:
Equipment Management: Manage the maintenance budget for all company equipment and the preventative maintenance program in compliance with transportation laws. Analyze equipment based on condition, maintenance costs, and needs, and make recommendations for replacement and/or acquisitions.Inventory Management: Establish and maintain inventory visibility and turnover. Determine and implement "make vs. buy" and "build to stock - build to order" strategies.
Logistics Management: Develop and implement robust methods and processes for receiving and shipping equipment in collaboration with our regional logistics partners.
Synergy Creation: Work collaboratively with the U.S. team to create synergy between clients operating in both countries. Strategic Purchasing: CAPEX Management: Ensure the approval and monitoring of equipment acquisitions according to established approval levels.
Procurement: Transactional Procurement Management: Ensure the optimization and smooth running of the material requisition, quote request, purchase order generation, monitoring, and follow-up processes to ensure the required materials are supplied on time and meet the required quality criteria;Performance: Define and implement key performance indicators to evaluate and measure supplier performance and manage improvement initiatives, in close collaboration with the quality and engineering teams.
