RED SEAL INSTRUMENTATION & CONTROL TECHNICIANActivity sector: Pulp and PaperSite: Kamloops, BCWage: $52.69 per hourRelocation: Allowance providedSchedule: Compressed Work Week (9-hour dayshifts, every other Friday off)YOUR ROLEReporting to the Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor, the Instrumentation Technician will support the mill’s continuous improvement efforts through construction projects and general preventative maintenance.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESüTroubleshoot and repair process control instrumentation;üRegular predictive/preventative maintenance;üServicing of control valves, emission monitors and kraft pulp analyzers;üUse computer diagnostics and testing to monitor, measure and troubleshoot processes;üClean and perform routine maintenance work.YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIESüSelf-directed and works with minimal supervision;üAbility to manage time and multi-task to accomplish a variety of assignments with conflicting priorities and deadlines;üConfident written and oral communicator;üChange agent with the ability to collaborate well with others;üStrong problem solving & analytical skills;üProven organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands;üDetail oriented;üCommitted to best practices in health, safety and environmental managementüWork well in team and possess a friendly and positive demeanor.YOUR QUALIFICATIONSüBC Journeyperson and/or Interprovincial Red Seal Industrial Instrumentation & Control Technician CertificationüExperience working in a safety sensitive industrial work environment;üStrong computer system aptitude and experience working with various types of software including Microsoft Office Suite and a computerized maintenance system (i.e. SAP);üPossessing a dual ticket qualification in Electrical and/or HVAC in addition would be an asset.WHY WORK AT KRUGER?At Kruger, we believe in giving our employees the space to grow in a dynamic and stimulating environment, to encourage their development, and to enrich their professional lives.
