Warehouse and Customer Service Teammate

Job DescriptionWarehouse & Shipping Duties:Pick material for customer orders, counting and comparing items to shipping documentation.Assemble material and pack appropriately for pick-up or shipment.Complete documentation for shipments via third-party carriers or requiring Transportation of Dangerous Goods compliance.Inform Supervisor of inventory discrepancies and damaged/defective material impacting service levels.Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety by removing empty cartons, banding, pallets, and debris.Report any safety issues to Warehouse Supervisor and/or Profit Centre Manager.Customer Service Duties:Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via phone, email, and in-person.Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries, concerns, and requests.Process orders, quotes, and returns accurately and efficiently.Provide product information, recommendations, and pricing details.Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.Maintain accurate customer records in the company database.Escalate complex issues to appropriate departments when necessary.Generate sales leads and assist with upselling and cross-selling.Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on products and policies.Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing knowledge and best practices.Maintain a clean and organized workspace.Perform other related duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus.Being Awesome is mandatory Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service or related fieldExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesExceptional interpersonal skills with a talent for building relationshipsAbility to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentDetail-oriented with strong organizational skillsBasic math skills and ability to provide accurate quotes and process ordersResilient and able to remain calm under pressureFlexible and adaptable to always changing prioritiesStrong work ethic and high standard of integrityAbility to work both independently and collaboratively in a team settingActive listening skills and empathy towards customer needsBasic typing and data entry skillsKnowledge of industrial piping products / mines is a plus, but not requiredAble to learn and operate the applicable software system used to process ordersIntermediate math skillsAdditional InformationWhy Join Our Team?EMCO Corporation is one of Canada’s largest integrated wholesale distributors of plumbing, HVAC, waterworks, and industrial products for the construction / mining industry.
