What is the opportunity?
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic technology infrastructure professional with curiosity and a passion for Vulnerability Management. We are a team of System Administrators and platform support specialists searching for an eager go-getter who wants to take charge and be a dependable team player within the organization. This role has a large degree of interaction with internal and external stakeholders to achieve vulnerability management strategic objectives across Linux, Windows Servers, and Hypervisor platforms. The ideal candidate will have industry relevant qualifications and certifications in server infrastructure support, including strong relationship management skills with the ability to drive technical challenges to resolution in a culture of high performance that celebrates inclusivity and innovation.
What will you do?
- As the Vulnerability Management and Patching Analyst, you will be responsible to plan and execute vulnerability remediation and deployments across Linux, Windows, and VMware environments.
- As a subject matter expert, you will be executing fixes and deployments to application and server environments to ensure RBC’s vulnerability and compliance capabilities remain relevant and prepared for the changing threat landscape and emerging threat factors.
- Analyze and understand application patterns, dependencies, artifacts.
- Work in collaboration as a trusted partner including to ensure that projects are planned, managed, and executed in alignment with the functional strategy and goals.
- Participate in proactive triage and assessment activities of security-related vulnerabilities that pose a significant threat to the organization.
- Participate in and execute the integration of Infrastructure and Application vulnerability management across RBC and subsidiaries.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have:
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience working with Linux, Windows Servers, VMware, and application support. The ability to plan and deliver complex changes, with a proven track record to analyze and conceptualize data to meet objectives.
- Curiosity and passion for vulnerability management and infrastructure/application security.
- Strong prioritization and collaboration skills.
- Strong knowledge of scripting languages such as Bash, Python PowerShell. Source control tools (Git, Github).
Nice-to-have:
- Server OS Certifications (eg. RHCE, MCSA, MCSE, VCP)
- Cyber Security Certifications (eg. CISSP, Security+)
- Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, Mural
- Experience with automation and deployment tools (eg. Ansible, Chef, Tanium, SCCM)
- Experience with application vulnerability assessment concepts, reporting and scanning tools (eg. Tenable Nessus)
- Working knowledge of DevOps methodology, pipelines, developer tools and environments.
