We are looking for a Technical Lead, Enterprise Data & Business Intelligence who would serve as a key role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end delivery of data solutions while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. This position acts as the primary point of accountability for Data and Business Intelligence (BI) deliverables, stakeholder engagement, and team supervision. The role combines technical leadership with operational oversight to ensure successful execution of data initiatives. It requires close collaboration with stakeholders to capture business requirements, oversee technical implementation, and ensure the continuous evolution of the data warehouse. Working within the Digital Transformation Office, the incumbent supervises the development team, ensures quality standards are met, and maintains strategic oversight of data solutions from conception to delivery. This position plays a crucial role in bridging technical expertise with business needs, leading stakeholder engagements, establish accountabilities, and driving the advancement of data capabilities across the organization.

Key Accountabilities:

Stakeholder Management, Requirements Gathering & Team Leadership

  • Serve as the primary point of contact and accountability for all data deliverables and initiatives
  • Lead and facilitate stakeholder meetings, including requirements gathering, solution presentations, and progress updates
  • Supervise and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across business units
  • Drive the documentation and approval of business requirements, ensuring complete clarity and stakeholder sign-off
  • Oversee project timelines and resource allocation, ensuring on-time delivery of data solutions
  • Provide regular status updates to senior management on key initiatives and potential risks
  • Act as an escalation point for technical and operational challenges

Team Supervision & Development

  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to provide guidance and remove obstacles
  • Lead code review sessions and ensure adherence to departmental standards
  • Provide input on team members' performance evaluations
  • Foster a collaborative team environment focused on quality and innovation

Data Architecture & Cloud Migration Leadership (25%)

  • Lead the strategic migration of data assets from on-premises to cloud platforms
  • Design and oversee implementation of cloud-based data architecture using Azure, Snowflake, and other cloud technologies
  • Familiar with cloud data concepts – and cloud data tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS (on Azure), Azure SQL Managed Instance, Salesforce Cloud, MuleSoft, etc.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and integration patterns between on-premises and cloud environments
  • Architect solutions utilizing modern data blocks and SAAS platforms
  • Oversee API integration strategies and implementation
  • Guide the team in cloud-native data warehouse design and development
  • Ensure security and governance standards are maintained during cloud migration

Technical Architecture & Development

  • Develop the required solution / solution components
  • Implement highly extensible, scalable and high-performing SQL solutions within SQL Server, Power BI, SSIS and MicroStrategy
  • Architect and design BI solutions, data marts and data warehouse
  • Oversee the architectural design and implementation of BI solutions
  • Review and approve technical specifications and solution designs
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and business requirements
  • Lead the development of complex SQL queries and data structures when needed
  • Lead the development of various BI and Data Artifacts as required and necessary
  • Guide the team in implementing best practices for data warehouse design and development
  • Maintain oversight of data quality and integrity across all BI solutions
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing BI infrastructure
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and approaches to enhance BI capabilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in computer science degree, Health Informatics, Information Systems, Business Management, or specialized training / certification
  • 6+ years of experience within BI
  • Track record of progressive experience within data or BI environments
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Established and proven experience in SQL Server Asset to be familiar with MicroStrategy, Power BI and SSRS/SSAS/SSIS
  • Expert-level knowledge of SQL, data concepts, data management best practices, RDBMs concepts, data modelling, dimensional modelling, cube design and BI architecture
  • Knowledge of cloud concepts and cloud technologies such as Azure, Azure Data Factory, etc.
  • Ability to multi-task and organize plans to get tasks to completion on time
  • Experience in building digital solutions
  • Self-motivated, ability to take direction and work independently
  • Quick learner of technology or digital platforms
  • Healthcare experience is considered a strong plus
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Passionate to learn and help make a change in the healthcare industry through digital innovation
  • Strong functional skills – ability to understand what business needs
  • Good understanding of data, analytics and business intelligence concepts
  • Attention to detail and produce quality work outputs

  • Familiarity with Data Science Concepts and Data Science/ML implementation methods
  • MLOps
  • AI/ML Best Practices and implementation within SQL Server
  • Familiarity with recent ML models
