Who are we?

Motor Werke is a locally owned independent service and repair shop specialising in European and Import vehicles with 12 service bays and over 20 of the best team members (and dogs) anyone could ask for. We pride ourselves on offering the highest level of customer service, maintaining a clean and organised shop, and allowing our people to work with all brands and build on their skills through various training options.

The position:

As a Service Advisor, you will play a crucial role in caring for our customers and educating them on their vehicles. You will work closely with the Technicians and Parts Advisors to ensure work orders are processed accurately and on time. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining our high standards will contribute to our continued success in exceeding customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer service: Greet customers with a welcoming attitude, listen to their concerns, and effectively communicate recommended automotive services while clearly explaining service options, costs, and timelines.
  • Service recommendations: Utilize your knowledge of automotive systems and repairs to make accurate and detailed service recommendations. Prioritize and communicate necessary repairs or maintenance based on the vehicle's condition.
  • Appointment coordination: Efficiently schedule and manage service appointments, balancing workload and ensuring optimal efficiency in the service department.
  • Communication skills: Maintain open lines of communication with customers, keeping them informed of any changes, delays, or additional services required. Provide updates on service progress and obtain necessary authorizations.
  • Problem resolution: Act as a liaison between customers and the technical team to address and resolve any issues or concerns promptly. Strive to exceed customer expectations and ensure a positive service experience.

Qualifications:

  • A valid Class 7 or 5 driver’s license is mandatory.
  • 2+ years experience in a sales role is required.
  • Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer service role within the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in phone communications.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with a positive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in computer systems and software for scheduling and customer communication.
