Material Handling Logistics – Transportation Optimization Analyst (TESYS)

Job Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and fulfill all employee responsbilities set out in the ArcelorMittal Dofasco Health & Safety Policy/Program.
  • Support the optimization of our TESYS system, which coordinates the movement of materials throughout the plant.
  • Participate in development and implementation of the GPS reporting and optimization functions within the intra-plant transportation management system.
  • Develop strategies and system enhancements in a team environment.
  • Perform daily monitoring of transportation processes and propose solutions for improvement.
  • Manage, analyze and provide solutions to data storage and retrieval problems to drive efficiencies in the transportation process.
  • Support department goals and objectives.
  • Work in an office environment with some plant exposure.
  • Must be available to work full time from May 2025 to end of August 2025.

Education & Experience

  • Currently attending university or college full-time and returning to school full-time in September 2025
  • Enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of an Engineering, Math or Computer Sciences program.
  • Civil Engineering or Logistics and Supply Chain Management would be an asset.
  • Good understanding of geospatial coordinate systems.
  • Strong technical background.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, team player.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Experience in Excel, VBA and SQL, MSBI environment (SharePoint) is an asset.
  • Experience in report and query development.

Hours of Work: 8-hour day shifts, Monday to Friday.
