Role Overview


The VP of Marketing Operations will be responsible for the transformation of our current fulfillment operations, transitioning from a primarily SEO-focused model to a diverse range of marketing solutions that consistently deliver a 1:4 Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) for our small business clients in the home service industry across the U.S. This role will be accountable for the performance of 10,000 individual customer accounts and responsible for overseeing the teams managing a variety of digital products and services.


This is a high-impact leadership role centered on driving transformation and change management, maximizing ROI for our clients, and optimizing our marketing operations to achieve ambitious growth targets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results in similar roles, particularly for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), and be adept at leading global teams through complex transitions.


Qualifications


  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role with a strong focus on execution and ROI delivery, particularly for small budget accounts in the U.S. service industry.
  • Extensive experience in an agency setting is required.
  • Demonstrated success in managing global, cross-functional teams of over 100 FTE.
  • Strong expertise in digital marketing services, including SEO, PPC, inbound marketing, and client retention strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and data-driven decision-making skills for operational excellence and process improvement.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and embrace change.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Transform Fulfillment Operations: Lead the transformation of our fulfillment operations from an SEO-centric model to a diversified service offering that achieves a 1:4 ROAS for our small business clients.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for both 411 Locals and its customers, focusing on expanding inbound marketing efforts, improving conversion rates, and increasing client retention.
  • Resource Management: Balance the use of automation and human resources to optimize workload, ensure task completion, and enhance performance. Establish hiring criteria for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Team Leads (TLs) to align with strategic goals.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Leverage experience in call center operations, inbound marketing, product development, and customer engagement to transition our services from a Local SEO model to a full-service marketing agency.
  • Operational Excellence: Drive operational efficiency and process optimization to enhance profitability. Transition from outbound to inbound sales, increase upsells, and maintain high-quality control measures in service delivery.
  • Hands-On Leadership: Be directly involved in all operational aspects of the transformation. Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth transitions, resolve issues, and maintain momentum towards our strategic objectives.
