FOOD INGREDIENTS DISTRIBUTION / FOOD MANUFACTURING BACKGROUND IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENTMalabar is a rapidly growing Manufacturer and Distributor of food ingredients into the North American Food industry. We are searching for a well networked and experienced Sales Professional to build out the Bakery, Meat & Dairy market space in Quebec and Eastern Canada.The ideal candidate is a hunter, self-motivated, and detail-oriented team player who is committed to the success of our customers. You will focus on building and developing food manufacturing clients in the Bakery, Meat and Dairy space. Experience selling into industrial food processors (B2B) along with technical sales abilities when it comes to food ingredients is a MANDATORY QUALIFICATION.You must live in the greater Montreal area, and hold a valid drivers license.You must have room for home office space ResponsibilitiesOperate as the primary point of contact for key account stakeholdersDevelop a trusted advisory relationship with accounts, customer stakeholders and internal partnersPrepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecastsStay abreast of the industry developments and their impact on the organization’s competitiveness and product offerings;Host customer meetings, Innovation days, deliver high level presentationsKey account planning and management responsibilitiesDevelop clear and effective proposals/quotes for current and existing customer base;Address all customer issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Escalate as requiredActively participate in trade shows, training seminars, and conventions.Coordinate sales efforts with Marketing, Inventory, and OperationsTravel across Canada/US 25% of the timeQualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Food Industry2+ years in B2B sales experience in Food IndustryFluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)Experience with Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills (English and French)Positive attitude, talented listener, competitive performer and entrepreneurial in spiritValid Drivers LicenseCompensationTotal Comp will surpass $150k+Base salary flexible based on industry experience and networkBonus - starts at 15% of base salary with ability to earn 37.5% of your base salaryBonus - strictly on your performance vs your revenue budgetNew Accounts Bonus - range from $500-$2000 per new accountCar Mileage for business travel and much more
