About TandemLaunch

We’re a unique Canadian deep-tech startup foundry, transforming breakthrough research from world-class academic labs into successful startups. As a Co-Founder at TandemLaunch, you’ll be at the core of our innovation-driven community. You’ll have access to state-of-the-art facilities, including office and lab space, prototyping tools, and a network of seasoned mentors. Our Focus Areas Include:

  • Passive environmental perception and ubiquitous sensing

What you’ll do

  • Lead the creation of a profitable startup, leveraging your technical and research expertise.
  • Work hands-on with emerging technologies sourced from world-leading laboratories in the deep-tech sector.
  • Identify and secure patentable intellectual property, managing the due diligence required to build your startup’s patent portfolio.
  • Design a technical roadmap and develop a minimum viable product (MVP) within 18-24 months.
  • Recruit and guide an engineering team through the development process to achieve key product milestones.
  • Provide scientific leadership to validate your product’s core functionality.
