- POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Infrastructure Technology Director, the Telecommunications Technical Lead acts as a leader and specialist in the field of telecommunications in the organization.

They provide the necessary technical infrastructure guidance for the development of new infrastructure technologies and system requirements for telecommunications. Working closely with architects, IT service management and infrastructure specialists, the Telecommunications Technical Lead leads and ensures that architectural plans are aligned with the capacity and vision of the infrastructure, providing detailed design documents. He or she oversees the process of developing solutions from a technical perspective and provides complex troubleshooting capabilities when needed. He or she has skills that make him or her an expert in telecommunications infrastructure, providing technical guidance and mentorship to telecommunications administrators.
- CHALLENGES TO BE MET- Planning, design and management of telecommunications infrastructure for data centers and various clouds;- Update to keep infrastructure secure (Enhance Security);- Develop and implement new solutions;- Monitor his/her field of expertise and act as an expert by providing advice and support to BDC specialists regarding telecommunications infrastructure;- Provide last-level support on technical, operational and infrastructure equipment issues;- Responsible for establishing non-functional requirements for new infrastructure components (such as security, reliability, performance, maintainability, scalability, and ease of use);- Maintain and build automation and infrastructure-as-code scripts using the right tools;- Develop the best infrastructure solution, including detailed design, to solve business problems, while ensuring efficiency (through automation) and stability (through monitoring);- Lead alignment with architecture to ensure solutions are optimal from an operational perspective;- Act as a telecommunications expert and provide expert advice in the introduction of new technology versus the use of existing technology;- Work with infrastructure delivery teams:
- Establish a delivery plan and schedule;-
- Estimate the cost of technological infrastructure (one-time and recurring);-
- Estimate the effort to build the solution;-
- Oversee the solution construction process from a technical perspective to ensure compliance with the architecture and detailed design;-
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team in fact-finding, diagnosing and troubleshooting complex issues/incidents, including engaging suppliers on technical issues.- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to specialists related to telecommunications infrastructure;
