We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water and Wastewater Treatment Engineer to join our team in Alberta. As a key member of our water and wastewater infrastructure team, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance and project management expertise on water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide project management and technical guidance on water and wastewater infrastructure projects, from planning and design to implementation and commissioning.
- Lead a diverse team of professionals, including engineers, technicians, and support staff, to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.
- Drive innovation and creativity in developing water and wastewater treatment and pumping solutions, leveraging WSP's extensive resources and expertise.
- Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and financial performance, optimizing resource utilization and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Identify potential risks and challenges associated with projects and develop proactive mitigation plans to address them effectively.
- Work closely with other departments and disciplines within WSP to ensure a holistic approach to project delivery, fostering cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, progress reports, and technical records, presenting project updates and results to stakeholders and senior management.
- Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited university.
- Registration in good standing as a Professional Engineer in Alberta, or eligibility to be registered.
- Minimum 12 years of extensive engineering experience in municipal water and wastewater treatment and pumping, encompassing planning, design, and successful commissioning of innovative projects.
- Exceptional leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Strong technical expertise in water and wastewater treatment and pumping, with a focus on innovative solutions and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail.
