About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Conveyance Engineer/Project Manager to join our Municipal Engineering department in Edmonton. This role will be responsible for designing and managing multi-million dollar water/wastewater and other infrastructure rehabilitation projects, including large diameter municipal water mains and sewers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead RFP, Bid, and Proposal documents for trenchless rehabilitation projects
  • Actively participate in the trenchless rehabilitation industry to increase WSP's profile in this market segment
  • Manage the design of public sector municipal servicing projects
  • Participate in the design process and provide direction to the design team
  • Liaise with municipal/utility/approval agencies
  • Be responsible for project budgets, project schedules, and client communications
  • Lead a multi-disciplinary project team to undertake major water/wastewater trenchless rehabilitation projects
  • Apply proven design experience, including conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs
  • Manage design and project execution for municipal infrastructure projects, including wastewater, water resources, design, engineer, sewers, water mains, water main, feeder mains
  • Mentor and coach a team of engineers and technologists
Requirements
  • Minimum of 7+ years of municipal infrastructure experience for Public Sector projects
  • Professional Engineer designation in Alberta
  • Project Management experience on municipal water and sewer projects
  • Knowledge and experience with Condition Assessments, and Trenchless Technologies for pipeline rehabilitation
  • Member of NASSCO and PACP and MACP certified is an asset
  • Knowledge and application of Alberta Environmental standards and guidelines
  • Familiarity with local planning/approval processes
