About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Pyschiatrist to join our team at the Saskatchewan Health Authority. As a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, as well as conducting medical research and prescribing medication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders, including psychiatric disorders
  • Conduct medical research on human disorders, illnesses, and preventive or curative methods
  • Prescribe medication and treatment plans for patients
  • Act as consultants to other physicians and healthcare professionals
  • Order laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures as needed

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, but not required
  • Certifications: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities
