Job Title: Glazier

At METRO HARDWARE AND MAINTENANCE, we are seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing and repairing glass and other glazing materials in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Determine the type of glass, frames, and materials required for each job
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand work requirements
  • Measure, mark, and cut glass to fit specific needs
  • Position and secure panes in frames
  • Assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products
  • Install door, window, and other hardware
  • Repair glass doors and other glass structures
  • Assemble, erect, and dismantle scaffolding, rigging, and hoisting equipment
  • Work at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages
  • Operate man-lift mobile equipment, cranes, and other lifting equipment
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • English language proficiency
  • 30 to 40 hours of work per week
Work Environment:

This role requires physical demands, including handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
