About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Glass Installation Specialist to join our team at Metro Hardware and Maintenance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing glass and glazing systems in various settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine Glass Requirements

Assess the type of glass, frames, and materials needed for each project, ensuring accurate specifications and measurements.

Read and Interpret Blueprints

Carefully review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand the work requirements and ensure a smooth installation process.

Measure, Cut, and Assemble Glass

Measure and mark glass for cutting, and assemble and install prefabricated glass, mirrors, or glass products with precision and attention to detail.

Install Hardware and Repair Glass Structures

Install door, window, and other hardware, and repair glass doors and other glass structures to ensure a safe and secure environment.

Work at Heights and Operate Equipment

Work safely at heights, on scaffolding, or swing stages, and operate man-lift mobile equipment, cranes, and other lifting equipment as needed.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

At least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field is preferred.

Physical Demands

The role requires physical stamina, as you will be handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and performing tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Work Conditions

You will work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
