Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in a hospital or medical facility setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a range of conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests and interpret results to diagnose and monitor respiratory conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • Certificate of Registry from the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists - R.R.T.
  • Current registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Nova Scotia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
