Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority.

Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care to patients in a hospital setting, including assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and implementing respiratory therapy interventions.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' respiratory status and develop treatment plans to improve lung function and overall health.
  • Implement respiratory therapy interventions, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and aerosol therapy.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide education to patients and families on respiratory health and disease management.
Requirements:
  • Certificate of Registry from the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists - R.R.T.
  • Experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a respiratory therapy department.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
