Job Title: Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority.

Job Summary:

The Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care to patients in a hospital setting, working closely with the healthcare team to develop and implement treatment plans.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory care to patients, including oxygen therapy, ventilation, and aerosol therapy.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests and interpret results.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with respiratory conditions.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements:
  • Certificate of Registry from the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists - R.R.T.
  • Experience in a hospital setting, preferably in a respiratory therapy department.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
