Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with a range of respiratory conditions, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, and pneumonia.
  • Conduct pulmonary function tests and interpret results to diagnose and manage respiratory conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care and support.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care techniques and technologies to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • Current registration with the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists (CSRT).
  • Experience working in a hospital or medical facility setting is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
